# First steps

### Disable your current environment manager

bat\_bucketmanager will manage time, weather and lights for you, but for it to work properly, you must disable any other code or script that does that too.

This task will depend on what framework you use, and it can get pretty tricky if you have a custom one. Here are a few examples:

<details>

<summary>How to disable it in QBCore</summary>

This one is pretty simple, just stop the resource `qb-weathersync` in your .cfg file.

You will need to remove or comment out everywhere in your code where the following FiveM natives are used:

{% code lineNumbers="true" fullWidth="false" %}

```lua
NetworkOverrideClockTime
SetArtificialLightsState
SetArtificialLightsStateAffectsVehicles
SetWeatherTypeNow
SetWeatherTypePersist
SetWeatherTypeNowPersist
SetForceVehicleTrails
SetForcePedFootstepsTracks
SetRainLevel
```

{% endcode %}

If you can't figure out how to do that, we recommend you look for the framework developer's help.

### Download and extract the resource

After purchasing the resource, it will be available for download at [Cfx.re Portal](https://portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets). Hit "Download" to get the ZIP file, then extract it inside your server resources folder.

### Setup authorization

The only thing you need to setup to start using the resource is the `IsAdmin` function in the configuration file, which is what defines who can use the resource [commands](/docs/utility-scripts/bat_bucketmanager/commands.md). **Everything else is optional** and you may do it as you need.

{% endcontent-ref %}

### Start the resource

All setup, time to start the resource! You can do so by executing the following command in your server console: `ensure bat_bucketmanager`&#x20;

To make sure this resource is always started, append the same command to your .cfg file.
